The Sledding Hill
I am currently on page 117. I have found a quote on page 107. Tarter says, “Edward, I want to push your testimony and baptism forward, if we can. I think, because of all you’ve been through, that you can be a major force in a project we’re taking on at the high school. I’d like you to be a full member of Youth for Christ within the next two weeks. To make that happen, I’ll need to tutor you and you’ll need to start talking again.” I think this quotes important because it shows that Eddie is doing everything including going to a church, in which he doesn’t agree with, and making them think he believes in that kind of stuff. Even though he is really just trying to get closer to the church to make sure he knows everything he can about them protesting the book. Also if he goes to church it will help get Tarter off of his back about asking him to come.
