Lucas

I am currently reading Lucas, by Kevin Brooks.  I am on page 20 and it is very interesting.  The conversation/quotes that have caught my eye the most was between Cait and her brother, Dominic.                                                                                                          

Dominic saying, “Do you know him, Cait?”

“Who?”

“The droolee, the urchin…that thing you were gawping at.”

“Shut up, Dominic.”(9)

This conversation is when Cait first sees Lucas.  It is important because it shows how interested Cait was into Lucas.  Before this conversation she described seeing him in slow motion.  She described it like it was a dream.  Thats why I can tell she has a thing for this boy.
