I am currently on page 61. In chapter two I think the author was trying to conceive a message to the readers. He was trying to say “treat others how you would like to be treated.” In chapter two Cait went with Bill drinking and smoking and everybody was just completely out of it. Cait knew she was hanging out with bad people but she just couldn’t leave Bill. So instead she joined in. The thing that pulled her last string was throwing rocks at that kid from the bridge, which whom she found very interesting. When they began to do that she thought of what that kid must have thought of her. Thats what got her to turn around and walk away from the kids. After that the thought of what he thought of her chewed her up inside. She began to dream about it and couldn’t stop thinking about it and she couldn’t find out why. I believe the author did that on purpose to show that if your gut is telling you something you need to listen.
